Freedom Fries?….ugh…what were we thinking

Fischer Amber Ale from France :: The great thing about having a blog about beer is that your friends want you to try all kinds of exotic and hard to find beers. And if you’re over at their house for a cook out, you get to try them for free! Such was the case for Brian who was over at a friends place and was introduced to Fischer Amber Ale. Brian’s buddy Shea (shout out) made it clear that he had to “keep 4″ of his six pack of Fischer because 1) You can’t get it in Nashville and Shea had brought it back from Dallas, TX and 2) Shea had another friend coming by that week who had lived in France and was fond of the brew. Needless to say, Brian was honored but vowed (mostly just to himself….in his head) that he would not let his brain bones be swayed because of this gesture and he would give his full and honest opinion. And also (and this was even harder) Brian would not let the fact that the French talked a little smack in the Olympics sway his opinion.
The verdict :: It’s good! There are a lot of hops in this beer. That can usually give it a ‘bite’ and after taste that some don’t care for, but this beer really was a lot smoother than Brian was expecting. It’s 6% alcohol so it’s packs a punch but overall, we would drink it again. We don’t think it’s anywhere in Nashville yet, but we’ll keep our eyes open. Fischer Amber gets a solid B from us. CHEERS!

Hey guys! Great blog, thanks for the recommendation. I’ll let you know how it goes over. Cheers!
I concur.
